Really Awesome Coffee employee becomes Franchise Partner

Ella had been working with the fast-growing mobile coffee franchise’s Head Office team for over six years, and has now made her investment and taken over the Coventry South territory.

The Really Awesome Coffee family has had an amazing 2021, and one of the highlights has been Ella’s transition from employee to official franchise partner. In Ella’s words, “When I first started working at HQ, I was part of a four person team, the premises housed a couple of vans (at a push) and we looked after around 10 franchisees. I've seen the business grow from these humble beginnings over the years and am happy to say I've played a decent role in this too.”

In fact, Ella said, “One of my proudest moments was rebranding the company (I am also a professional graphic designer), and therefore creating a brand that now adorns over 90 vans nationwide!!” She also expressed that one of her favourite things about the coffee van franchise is that even as it has grown, “What has remained the same is the camaraderie between the staff, the passion and dedication of the business owner Kevin, and the determination to never stand still and always be at the forefront of the industry.”

In over six years in the role, Ella has seen “so many changes” and she’s “always envied those fortunate enough to be financially equipped to purchase a franchise, as it really is a cracking business model”. She’s seen “from the inside how a bespoke point of sale system has been built” and how “a custom built app has been heavily invested in”, and she’s watched “constant improvement” in the tech that’s incorporated into Really Awesome Coffee’s fleet of vans.

So, once it was a possibility for Ella to invest and become a franchisee, she jumped at the chance. She said, “In March this year I decided to invest in my future and took over the Coventry South franchise (previously Head Office's training vehicle).” Ella has loved her first few months, and still very much feels a part of (and well-supported by) the team.
