Radfield Home Care sponsors hospice Christmas celebrations

Radfield Home Care helped make a Christmas on the Coast event happen, all in aid of a local hospice.

Radfield Home Care sponsored a Christmas event in Hastings that saw Father Christmas make a special guest appearance.

The Christmas on the Coast event was organised once again by local St Michael’s Hospice, and it always proves to be a popular event with families in the local community. There were lots of fun family activities for people to take part in. Father Christmas and his elves were waiting to meet the local children, and each received a small gift to take home, as well as getting to take part in fun Christmas craft sessions. There was also a stall that helped children write letters to Santa and the most popular attraction of all – the Secret Present room.

“The Secret Present room, our most popular attraction from last year, also made a return. This gave all the attending children a chance to pick and wrap a present for a special adult in their life, giving that person a gift they didn’t expect.”

The event, which was sponsored by home care franchise Radfield Home Care, also ran a tombola and raffle to raise money for St Michaels Hospice and had a collection of Christmas stalls that put all their profits towards the worthy cause.

Radfield Home Care was born after founders Dr Hannah MacKechnie and her brother Alex Green recognised the need for a compassionate home care service that could be rolled out across the UK. Growing up in their parents’ Radfield Residential Home, the two developed an interest in caring for the elderly and began to develop their business model for the franchise in 2008. The franchise has expanded quickly since welcoming its first franchisee in early 2017 and has been recognised for its exciting business model.
