Radfield Home Care promotes girl power

Radfield Home Care leads the way in its sector by promoting gender equality throughout the business.
Radfield Home Care has been sharing its experience of making its business gender diverse and hopes that other franchises will soon become more welcoming to ambitious women who want to run their own business.
The home care company’s director and franchisor, Dr Hannah MacKechnie, met with the British Franchise Association ahead of its Empowering Women in Business event on the 15th of November. The event aims to show female business women, including franchisees, how they can feel empowered, gain knowledge and network with other like-minded business women to grow their empires. She sat down for an interview with the respected organisation to share the journey her career has taken her on.
MacKechnie was also invited along to discuss the positive progress that’s been slowly happening in the world of franchising in relation to gender diversity, as well as the increasing amount of opportunities for women who want to become their own bosses. As the head of Radfield Home Care, MacKechnie clearly practices what she preaches, as the home care franchise is proud to boast even gender ratios throughout both its network of dedicated franchisees and its hard-working support team.
Radfield Home Care is also a highly ethical company, as it’s the first company in the healthcare sector to become a Certified B Corp, the stamp of businesses that put their people over their profits. Building on the success of the family care home, MacKechnie and her brother Alex decided to establish a franchise that could offer the same personalised and friendly care services including companionship, dementia care and household assistance in the comfort of each patient’s home. So, in 2016, Radfield Home Care began franchising and the ambitious company hasn’t looked back since.
