Bristol and Bath Puddle Ducks Franchises donated to the annual Bradford-on-Avon rubber duck race.
An impressive crowd gathered on the banks of the river Avon on Easter Monday to witness this year’s rubber duck race.
A thousand ducks were dropped into the water from Town Bridge, and every single one was retrieved further down the river by kayakers from the Bradford-on-Avon Rowing Club.
The event was even more of a spectacle considering it had to be cancelled last year due to the river flowing at a speed considered too dangerous for kayakers to take out their paddles.
Winners were awarded with a selection of different prizes, topping a brilliant event that was not hampered by the cloudy weather.
The Mayoress of Bradford-on-Avon and a spokesman from Bradford Town Council thanked Puddle Ducks for their “very generous” support that made the day possible.
In recent years, Puddle Ducks has sponsored several charity events in local communities across the UK. Every year the swimming franchise holds a national Pyjama Party event which encourages children to take the plunge in their jim-jams.
In 2017 alone, Puddle Ducks raised an incredible £41,000 for different causes. In the last seven years combined, its charity initiatives have collected £214,000 worth of donations altogether.
Puddle Ducks is evidently doing a lot to give back to the communities that have enjoyed their classes across its twenty year history. Franchisees from across the country have pitched in to make a difference.
Becoming a Puddle Ducks franchisee offers so much more than financial returns. All partners of the brand gain the satisfaction that comes from helping vulnerable people and playing an active role in their local community.
