Prokil’s Epsom franchisee shares her story

Prokil’s franchisee for the Epsom area has given an insight into her journey as an investor during the pandemic.
Joanne Foster spent 10 years in the police force and four years working as a self-employed dog groomer before becoming a Prokil franchisee. After two of her three children completed their GCSEs, she started looking into franchising as a way to access much higher earning potential.
The ambitious entrepreneur already knew someone who had joined Prokil and was impressed with the quality of training and support, and the quantity of leads. Joanne was also interested in the construction franchise because of its professional certification requirements, which she felt would limit competition for her future business.
After visiting Prokil’s head office in Bournemouth and discussing the opportunity with Carlo and Alex Marsango, Joanne was able to develop a business plan and start her training.
She said,
“I was about to start my training as the global pandemic hit the UK, with lockdown stopping most businesses from trading. Instead, I got stuck into learning the theory side of surveying. The Prokil team paused on-site training initially so they could implement additional health and safety requirements, but it didn’t take long to get back to the practical training.”
Now, Joanne is looking forward to developing her franchise unit:
“I can see a great future with Prokil and I plan to maximise my territories to their fullest potential, with the possibility to purchase further territories locally. My end goal is to secure a profitable business for my family’s future, which I believe Prokil will provide.”
She added,
“I would definitely recommend the Prokil franchise system to anyone seriously considering a franchise business venture.”
