Prokil records increased demand during pandemic

Prokil has recorded a higher level of demand for its services during the Covid-19 outbreak.
Thanks to its flexible approach to the pandemic, the home improvement franchise, which specialises in damp-proofing, timber preservation and basement waterproofing, has been able to thrive as well as survive. When the government’s stamp duty holiday triggered a spike in enquiries for homebuyer damp inspections, Prokil was able to ramp up its services.
The franchise also responded to the pandemic by launching new disinfection services, with a solution proven to be 99.99 percent effective against Covid-19 in five minutes.
Alex Marsango, Prokil’s Chief Operations Officer, said,
“Many franchises have been struck down by Covid-19, shutting their doors, making staff redundancies; even your big high-street names had to close their doors to the public. But not us. We spent a week reviewing our risk assessments and health and safety practices, but were back up and running within the new UK lockdown laws and restrictions in no time.
“After lockdown eased, we became even busier at our head office in Bournemouth, and had the same reports from our franchise network.”
Over the past few months, Prokil has seen record numbers of enquiries and survey bookings in the South of England and Wales. The business has been so busy it’s now recruiting additional employees to fulfil all the orders.
There are also opportunities for new franchisees to pick up on the increased demand in certain areas of the UK. Take a look at the franchise’s profile page, linked above, to find out more about how you can get involved.
Prokil has a history stretching back to 1965 and, since then, has supported thousands of domestic and commercial customers across the South of England. The business treats everything from damp, woodworm, and dry and wet rot, to condensation and timber decay.
