Poppies welcomes Yorkshire entrepreneur Dan Reid to the network

Dan joined Poppies Leeds North West in June, and, with a team of 21 carefully selected employees already on hand, Dan is looking to double his client base within the next year.
Dan spent 16 years in the beverage industry, working in sales and operations in the UK and Dubai. When he returned from Dubai, he then set up a coffee shop with his wife in Pontefract, and most recently, worked for a national drinks wholesaler. After a year of being furloughed on and off, Dan was ready for a change of pace. A new career challenge. He connected with Poppies, and invested in the domestic cleaning franchise in June.
In Dan’s words, “I was looking for a new business venture and came across Poppies. With its ethical ethos and standards, coupled with being an established and professional brand, I knew it was right for me and I could tap into the franchise network for advice, guidance and support. I also felt that my skills would be invaluable to the day-to-day management of my new business, from organisational through to managing a workforce, dealing with customers and financials.”
In short, it was a perfect fit. Now Dan’s ready to get going and is looking to expand into Leeds city centre, recruit more locals and restore customer confidence post-COVID, with a view to doubling his client base during his first year in business.
Dan said of his investment, “I’m really excited to be the new owner of Poppies [Leeds North West] and am very fortunate to have such a great team already in place. I would like to say a big thank you to Wendy James [the previous owner of Poppies Leeds North West] for leaving a lasting legacy in her place and I’m looking forward to taking the business to even greater heights [...] My aim is to help people who are struggling to juggle work and home-life by delivering a first-class service at the heart of the community.”
Poppies is as happy to have Dan on board as he is to have become a franchisee, and when asked about Dan, Poppies’ Managing Director Chris Wootton said, “We’re proud to welcome Dan to our close network and to help support and guide him throughout his exciting journey with us. [...] With Dan’s proven success in the food and drinks sector, he exemplifies the kind of franchise owner that we look for across our industry and shows others the fantastic opportunities that exist in our growing network.” If you feel you fit the bill, find out more about Poppies via the cleaning franchise’s profile page, linked above.
