With the strapline of ‘making hummusy dreams come true since 2014’, the company creates mouth-watering menu choices that put creamy hummus and deliciously soft, fresh pitas at the heart of the dishes. Diners can choose from the popular classic hummus bowl that’s filled with whole chickpeas, parsley, paprika and mixed pickles; the tempting filled pita, which is stuffed with hummus, freshly made falafel and crunchy fresh salad; or a build-your-own salad bowl that’s packed with treats. Customers can also add tasty toppers like fresh pickles and individual falafels to finish off their dish. Its menu is 100% vegan, so lovers of plant-based cuisine will find themselves spoilt for choice too.

Humpit Hummus has come a long way since it began its journey in 2014, starting off by serving people around the streets and parks of Leeds from underneath a borrowed gazebo with a small fryer. However it didn’t take long for the word to spread about the delicious hummusy treats on offer and Humpit Hummus secured its first pop-up store in the Leeds Corn Exchange, which quickly shot to the top of Trip Adviser despite only being open for eight weeks! One year later and its hard work was truly recognised when it was crowned ‘Virgin Start-up Street Food Winner’ at the 2015 Foodpreneur Festival in London. The team met Richard Branson in person and he commented on how much he loved Humpit Hummus’ falafel.

The successful franchise now has branches set up across Leeds, Sheffield York and Newcastle and is looking for more falafel-crazy franchisees to join its rapidly expanding network, bringing its irresistible dishes to people across the length and breadth of the UK.
