Pirtek celebrates 20 years of partnership with supercars and looks ahead to the future.
Pirtek has announced that it will continue to partner with a Shell V-Power Racing Supercars team until at least 2020.
It comes after Pirtek’s partner team, DJR Team Penske scooped the top prize at the Pirtek Pit Stop Challenge for the second year running. After a tight race, DJR Team Penske’s Roger Penske split the £20,000 grand prize with competitors Brad Jones Racing after the finish was too close to call.
Since it became a foundation partner of DJR Team Penske after it entered the Shell Supercars’ squad in 2015, Pirtek played a huge role in the success of the team. 2018 also marks 20 years since the hydraulics franchise saw its first win as a sponsor at the famous Bathurst 1000 race.
Pirtek CEO Stephen Dutton said that he was thrilled that the sponsorship had been such a lengthy one and looked forward to more years of collaboration with DJRTP.
"As we celebrate 20 years since Pirtek's first Bathurst win as a sponsor, it seems an opportune time to continue our involvement in Supercars and the fantastic relationship we have with DJR Team Penske. The fact that the team won the Pirtek Pit Stop Challenge at Bathurst last week for the second year in a row is the icing on the cake. We wish the team all the best for the rest of the season and into the future."
Since it was established in 1988, Pirtek has become the leading provider of fluid transfer solutions in the UK. It aims to reduce disruption and costly downtime for businesses by offering a 24/7 callout service and speedy onsite repairs to hydraulic hoses and other fluid transfer products. Its European operations are seeing rapid expansion across Belgium, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands.
