Award-winning Papa John’s franchisee Abid Hussain is celebrating the opening of his sixth store across the UK.
One of Papa John’s award-winning franchisees is celebrating the opening of his sixth store, this time in the county of Surrey. Abid Hussain has already opened five stores across the UK, in Taunton, Newbury, Fareham, Eastleigh and Bristol. Fresh off the back of his win at the pizza franchise’s UK conference, where he scooped the award for Franchise Owner of the Year (for five stores or fewer), Abid decided it was the perfect time to branch out even more.
The new franchised location is in the town of Sunbury-on-Thames in Surrey. Speaking about the branch, Abid said:
“Sunbury-on-Thames is a great London location for us. The village is located on the River Thames between Weybridge and East Molesey and there are many families and commuters living in the area. We are now looking forward to delivering on our promise of: “BETTER INGREDIENTS. BETTER PIZZA” which means we only use the finest ingredients and fresh dough – never frozen - for a better natural flavour.”

He added that the new location will be his first to benefit from Papa John’s updated store layout.
“I am really excited about the new store as Papa John’s has updated the look and feel of the layout and the marketing team has worked hard on the branding and the result is fabulous and fun! I know the enhanced messaging will appeal to customers and they will appreciate the warm welcome we offer!”
Looking ahead to the future, Abid said:
“I have plans to open more stores in the future as the best sites become available. I am looking forward to growing my portfolio of outlets with the help of my great team plus the support of Papa John’s right behind us.”
