Papa John’s caters to vegan pizza-lovers

Papa John’s has introduced a brand-new range of pizzas that are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
The updated menu now includes five pizzas, four sides and a dessert that are all vegan-friendly. Consumers can choose from Jackfruit “Pepperoni”, American Hot Jackfruit, Vegan Sausage & “Pepperoni” and The Vegan Works, which includes mushrooms, peppers and black olives. The final option, Vegan Sheese & Tomato, uses the plant-based cheese substitute, Sheese, to create a Margherita alternative.
Hungry customers can top up their order with a side of Cauli Wings, Vegan Sheese Potato Tots (with optional Jalapenos) or Vegan Sheese & Marmite Scrolls. And Ben & Jerry’s famous Coconutterly Caramel’d non-dairy ice cream is there to round the meal off.
The introduction of these new food options is part of a move by Papa John’s to improve its vegetarian and vegan selection. The pizza franchise has even appointed a dedicated Chief Vegan Officer, Clare Every, to develop a number of tasty new plant-based options.
