Ovenclean answers customers’ common microwave-cleaning queries

The oven cleaning franchise recently shared its best microwave cleaning advice via a blog post to its website, revealing how often the microwave should be cleaned, why it needed to be cleaned, and what it should ideally be cleaned with.
Question one: How often should I clean the microwave? Ovenclean’s response: Customers would save “time in the long run” by wiping down their microwaves “after each and every use”. Though time consuming in the moment, “daily wipe downs will reduce the number of deep cleans needed in the future”. If this wasn’t possible, the oven cleaning franchise recommended cleaning “at least twice a week”. In its words, “Leaving the splattered food for long periods of time will not only cause nasty odours but is also a breeding ground for bacteria. [...] Food spillages and splatters left for long periods of time may also affect the taste of your food.”
Question two: Why does the microwave need to be cleaned? Already partially answered in question one by the fact that a dirty microwave breeds bacteria and can affect the taste of food, there’s even more to this one. According to Ovenclean, “Grease and grime can quickly build in the microwave when food splatters are not cleaned up. Not only will the build-up of these substances decrease the efficiency of your microwave but it can also be dangerous.” Bacteria could make you ill, or pieces of food left inside could spark a fire and void your microwave’s warranty/end its lifespan prematurely.
And the third and final question: What should I clean my microwave with? Ovenclean suggested that customers “avoid using commercial cleaning products that may contain harmful toxins in the microwave” and said they should ensure that, no matter the product they use, they don’t leave “residue inside the microwave” when they’re done cleaning. In the words of the blog, “There are many effective ways to clean your microwave with natural ingredients [and] you can always opt for hot soapy water. Hot soapy water will kill the germs without leaving the harsh chemicals [behind].” Find out more about franchising with this well-informed specialist cleaning company via Ovenclean’s profile page, which is linked above.
