No Letting Go shares thoughts on student lettings

Estate agent franchise No Letting Go suggests the new check-in process is crucial for successful student lettings.
At the moment, students from every corner of the UK are about to, or already have headed back to university. Therefore, it’s a very busy period for estate agent franchises like No Letting Go. It encourages tenants and landlords to pay attention to the inventory and check-in process.
As a result of the COVID-19 crisis, this academic year will involve more remote learning and universities are introducing the necessary protocols to keep staff and students safe on campus.
But despite all the uncertainty of the next few months, many students are still returning to their rented houses, so it’s down to the agents and landlords to carry out the required processes at the start of their tenancies.
Nick Lyons, Founder, and CEO of No Letting Go commented:
Although the student experience will be very different this year, the rental process will be largely the same. Landlords and agents need to make sure a thorough inventory and check-in process is carried out, while tenants need to assess the documentation carefully and only sign it off when they are happy.
To save time and money, letting agents and landlords can use a fully electronic check-in process.
Nick added:
Thanks to technology, the days of tenants needing to physically attend check-in are long gone. Most student renters are likely to want to carry out as much of the rental process as possible from their smartphones, so being able to view and sign-off an inventory online has become increasingly popular.
