The ambitious entrepreneur jumped at the chance to run his own Driver Hire franchise unit when it went onto the market.
Jordan Tracey, who has worked at the company since 2014, was keen to move up the ladder and try his hand at business management. Having previously worked as a manager at the franchise’s Newcastle branch, he already had a solid base of knowledge when he took his next step. In fact, Tracey had been commended for his performance in the past, and has won both Regional and National Recruitment Consultant of the Year.
Now, he’s the proud owner of Driver Hire’s Dundee and Perth branches, providing reliable transport and logistics services across the region. Whenever a local organisation is short of staff and in need of temporary or permanent staff, Tracey can offer a solution.
He said:
“I’ve always wanted to run my own Driver Hire business. When both the Dundee and Perth [territories] came up for sale, it was such a great opportunity, I had to take it. As with any business, it will be a challenge, but I’ve learnt a lot about Driver Hire, recruitment and the transport sector over the past few years. In addition, I’ve got the backing and support of one of the UK’s leading franchisors, so I’m sure I can make a success of it.”
Tracey also praised the business franchise’s innovative model, which gives investors the chance to build their unit over time. Armed with Driver Hire’s helpful operations manual, he is enthusiastic to start making connections in his local area:
“With this Driver Hire franchise, there’s an unlimited potential for growth. I’m looking forward to working with local businesses, meeting all their transport and logistics needs.”
