New Blossom Home Care franchise passes Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection with flying colours!
Award-wining Blossom Home Care takes enormous fulfilment in providing bloomin’ good care – not just to their clients and valued staff but the growing family of Blossom home care franchisees.
The many years of Blossom Home Care have allowed them to meticulously develop quality systems and processes to the great benefit of its franchisees. The systems are adopted to ensure that business meets the highest standards of care and safety at all times. Owing to the "care-above-everything" business model.
And what perfectly illustrates this commitment to quality home care is the newly-published independent regulator, Care Quality Commission report, from their first inspection of Blossom Home Care Durham.
The Blossom care team in Durham, led by the family of Liz, Tom and Roberta Chapman, have provided expert levels of care to clients across the county in 2021, receiving their first inspection from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) between March and April 2022.
So what did the CQC report say?
Care Quality Commission reports are based on five critically important aspects: is the provided service safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led?
The Durham franchise emphatically and with flying colours passed the inspection, and rated “good” in all areas.
The CQC report stated: “People and relatives spoke positively about Blossom Home Care Durham. People said they felt safe with the staff who supported them. People said they received good care from a consistent staff team who arrived on time, were professional and communicated effectively. People and relatives said staff were kind and caring and promoted people's independence in a safe way.”
Referencing the in-depth and quality-controlled systems and processes – something all current and prospective franchisees benefit from – the report also stated:
“Recruitment procedures were values-based and robust. There were enough staff to meet people's needs and people were protected from the risk of abuse. Staff had been trained in infection prevention and control and used personal protective equipment to help keep people safe. Staff had the skills and knowledge to carry out their role effectively. Staff training in relevant areas was up to date.”
“People told us the service was well managed. Effective systems were in place to monitor the quality of care and support provided. We found the management team receptive to feedback and keen to improve and develop the service. The management team worked with us in a positive manner and provided all the information we requested.”
We are delighted with the report and congratulate the whole team at Blossom Home Care Durham on their outstanding efforts.
