National Tequila Day comes to Las Iguanas

Customers were encouraged to celebrate National Tequila Day at Las Iguanas with one of its delicious drinks.
Latin American restaurant Las Iguanas has been celebrating National Tequila Day in style. The franchise, which aims to bring south America to the table in all of its exciting dishes, was named by the Yorkshire Post as one of the best places to get your fix of the Mexican spirit with its wide and varied range of cocktails.
Customers were able to take advantage of Las Iguanas’s range of authentic spirits. Cocktails on offer included the tempting Spiced Honey Sour, which is an exotic mix of Jack Daniels, vanilla, pineapple, lemon, cardamom and sweet Cazcabel honey tequila, or the unique Smoky Mexican Negroni, which puts a twist on the classic drink with Olmeca Blanco tequila, Campari, smokey mezcal and sweet vermouth. And with two for one on Happy Hour cocktails, customers were able to truly celebrate National Tequila Day. For those brave enough, they could even sample the spirit the traditional way in a good old Tequila Slammer.
To soften the blow of the spirit, there were plenty of delicious dishes on offer, including cheesy Peru fondue, Ceviche, Albondigas (mouth-watering lamb meatballs) and Bahian coconut chicken.
Founded in 1991 as a humble restaurant in the city of Bristol, Las Iguanas now has over 53 outlets across the UK. Its authentic Latin American cuisine brings a taste of the sunshine to each of its restaurants, with dishes such as its Buenos Aires winning the 2017 National Burger Award. Each restaurant might be lacking in the Copacabana sun, but there’s a flavour of South America in every outlet’s décor. With its own cachaça partners, Magnifica, growing its very own sugar cane fields, Las Iguanas prides itself on sourcing the best and freshest food for its entire menu.
