Many businesses are experiencing difficult times as the coronavirus sweeps the globe – but My Window Cleaner has managed to stay on top.

The window cleaning franchise has described the successes of some of its newest franchisees. Rather than cancelling investor Gareth’s business launch, My Window Cleaner went canvassing, put adverts online, used Google Ad words and paid for website SEO in order to draw in customers. The Newport franchise unit surpassed expectations, amid fears customers would avoid getting in touch, and Gareth almost hit his first-month revenue target of £900.

My Window Cleaner also revealed it’s welcoming two new franchisees for its April training sessions. These usually take place in Marbella but, of course, the franchise team have had to make different arrangements. Through Skype, TeamViewer and other online tools, they’ll be able to make sure the new recruits have all the knowledge they need to launch successful franchise units.

During times of crisis, online technologies are vital if businesses are to keep going. The window cleaning franchise will use its IT system, called Gloria, to train new team members, wherever they are in the world. Having recently invested more than £300,000 in the technology, My Window Cleaner is pleased to have safeguarded its business for the future.

The business is keen to remind customers it is still providing external window cleaning services, but will not be entering houses to treat the inside panes. As the coronavirus lockdown continues, it will spend time communicating with customers, planning future marketing campaigns and targeting future commercial clients, building density in selected areas and developing Gloria.

My Window Cleaner was also proud to announce the recent success of its Canterbury franchisees, Alan and Charlotte. After 18 months of building their unit, they’ve seen their best weekly turnover yet, at £2,016.
