Franchisee of the Year is awarded to Mr Electric Birmingham North’s Jeff Longley at an award ceremony in Berlin.
The Birmingham North Mr Electric franchise has been named as Franchisee of the Year by the Dwyer Group at the company’s Berlin award ceremony. The Franchise owner, Jeff Longley, was praised for his performance, commitment to the brand and significant growth he has achieved over his eight years of ownership.
“I was really honoured to win this award, and to even be considered, after knowing the other great franchisees in the network,” Longley said.
“To be selected means so much to me, both personally and as a business, and provides me with even more motivation to grow the business further. My franchise is not just about me - without our fantastic team of electricians and office staff, we would not be where we are today so I am eternally grateful to them all.”
Longley took over the Birmingham North franchise of Mr Electric in 2010 when his son qualified as an electrician. He wasn’t a complete novice though, having previously helmed a milk round franchise. Unsurprisingly, he found the 4am, six days a week schedule to be little punishing over the long-term. He then went on to sell this franchise, plus two others for a profit, and has increased Mr Electric’s turnover by 93% in eight years.
Pierre Jeannes, Vice-President of Operations for Mr. Electric, was on hand to heap praise on Mr Longley for his achievements. “Jeff is the ideal franchisee and I’m honoured that he is part of the Dwyer Group family” He said. “He is a fantastic representation of Mr. Electric’s values and he is consistently looking for ways to impress customers and this shows with his strong brand engagement and mentoring to the other franchises.
“Jeff has also been a great role model to the other franchisees and led by example, and for this, we are extremely grateful.”
A recent announcement also shows that Mr Longley has been nominated as a finalist for the BFA HSBC Awards 2018, further indicating the quality of the service his franchise is providing to customers.
