Mother Nature Science offers flexible career to North London mum

Samira Kashefi has been sharing the story of how becoming a Mother Nature Science franchisee has given her an exciting new career.

Samira Kashefi started her career as a research scientist and worked in prestigious London Universities until she took a career break to start a family. Once her children started school, she began to look for a new career challenge that would offer her the flexibility to spend time with her children after school and a great work-life balance. And so, Mother Nature Science entered the picture, as Samira realised that franchising was the right next step for her.

“I was searching for business opportunities and due to family commitments, I felt that a franchise was a better option than starting a new business. It offered the independence of small business without the need of business experience. It offered important pre-opening support and then ongoing support.”

“Mother Nature Science Franchise was the perfect opportunity,” explained Samira. “It is something that I am passionate about. I contribute to inspiring children with a love of science and it allows me flexible working arrangements. After enrolling my daughter in a science after-school club, I enjoyed seeing my daughter’s growing interest in science. I wanted to contribute as well, to inspire my own and other children with a love of science.”

Samira praised the support she has received throughout her journey with the education franchise, particularly during the tricky launch period.

“From day one, I have had incredible support and help from the entire Mother Nature Science Team. The team initially provided me with intensive training in all area of the business, including management, sales, recruitments and ordering stock.”

She added that having a dedicated support manager throughout has been incredibly valuable.

“Having a single, dedicated support manager. My support manager has been with the company for many years and has managed various areas of the business. He is very patient and understands that there is no such thing as stupid question. This encouraged me to seek advice from him on any small issues I have doubts on.”

Samira said that the best part of becoming a franchisee is the flexibility it has afforded her.

“It has provided me with more flexible working patterns. I spend less on childcare and I am able to spend more time with my kids. I have become more confident in communicating with various people and learned many new skills, including exceptional organisation and management skills.”
