Minuteman Press produces Bath street art

Minuteman Press has been hard at work producing 31 festive banners to line the streets of Bath over the Christmas period.
Back in October, the Bath Business Improvement District (BID) invited locals to take part in their Bath at Christmas Art Competition. The BID hoped the contest would raise people’s spirits and encourage participants to remember all the city has to offer.
Dozens of people got involved, submitting creative designs across a range of themes and colours. Once the BID had chosen its 31 winners, it was up to printing franchise Minuteman Press to recreate them in the form of two-metre-long bunting flags.
Now, residents and tourists alike can see the artwork displayed on lampposts across Southgate Street, Brunel Square and Churchill Bridge up until Christmas. Plus, the entire collection of entries will be put up in the Abbey Churchyard and uploaded onto the Welcome To Bath website.
Allison Herbert, Chief Executive at Bath BID explained:
“The Bath at Christmas Bunting Display is just one of a number of safe, socially distant, joyful events set to take place in the city this Christmas. We hope that on your socially distanced strolls around the city centre, seeing the festive bunting will offer some hope in the lead-up to Christmas.”
David Dixon, Marketing Director at Minuteman Press’s Bath branch said,
“It’s been wonderful going through the entries to the Bath at Christmas Art Competition. As people emerge from this second lockdown, Bath is ready to greet them, thanks to the Bath BID and all those that have put in the work to ensure that Bath is ready for Christmas after what has been a very difficult year for many.”
The competition’s judges have created shortlists in several categories, and the public can now vote for their favourites on the Bath BID Facebook page. The final winners will get a gift card, which they can spend in more than 200 stores in the city.
