Metro Rod suggests ways to reduce water consumption during World Water Week

The drain care and repair network shared a video with its customers that broke down the four key ways in which they could minimise their water usage.
In the words of Metro Rod, “World Water Week is the leading conference on global water issues and in 2021, it will be held as a digital event [from August 23rd to August 27th]. The week attracts participants from more than 130 countries and with many different professional backgrounds.” World Water Week is a not-for-profit event that covers a huge range of water-based topics, “ranging from food security and health, to agriculture, technology, biodiversity, and the climate crisis”.
This year, in honour of World Water Week, the drainage franchise has taken a moment to remind its customers of the ways that they can help to reduce their water consumption and protect the precious environment. Metro Rod made the following four suggestions:
- Take shorter showers
- Check taps and pipes for leaks (and sort them quickly if found!)
- Turn off the tap while you’re brushing your teeth
- Recycle your water wherever possible
If you’d like to join the network of drainage experts that makes up Metro Rod, helping customers across the UK with water and drainage issues of all kinds each day, you can make an initial minimum investment of £50,000.
