Metro Rod Smashing Records

Drainage franchise Metro Rod is scoring better business results than ever before.
Across the first quarter of 2019, Metro Rod sales across its network have grown by 12.9 percent. It has raised an extra £9.8 million in revenues by mobilising new IT systems and providing its franchisees with a central marketing function.
These numbers follow an already high standard of success that was set last year. In 2018, Metro Rod saw a 10.4 percent increase in turnover.
Of all of its 41 franchise depots, 12 of them have produced a year-on-year growth of over 30 percent compared to 2018. It is clear to see that Metro Rod franchises are reaping the results of a growing demand for drainage solutions.
The results were announced at the drainage franchise’s annual meeting last month. Metro Rod’s parent company – Franchise Brands – praised the success of the business and attributed it to its Vision 2023 strategy.
“Metro Rod’s forward momentum in Q1 has continued apace, with our franchise network growing their system sales by 12.9 percent, resulting in a record quarter” said Stephen Hemsley, Franchise Brands’ Executive Chairman.
“We are encouraged to also see that our B2C brands, ChipsAway, Ovenclean and Barking Mad [all of which are part of the Point Franchise network], have had a positive start to the year and that franchisee recruitment has improved.”
With this proven track record of success, it is no surprise that Metro Rod franchise opportunities are being snapped up fast.
