Metro Rod is feeling flush

Metro Rod has announced record-breaking results for 2019 as it looks ahead to a prosperous year.
Metro Rod has smashed all expectations and delivered a record-breaking first quarter performance, thanks to the hard work of its franchisees and head office staff.
In just the first quarter of 2019, system sales grew by an incredible 12.9 percent, compared to the 10.8 percent growth that the drainage franchise managed in the whole of 2018. Metro Rod’s dedicated central sales and marketing support has allowed its franchisees to concentrate on delivering their expert services to customers all across the UK, and new IT systems have made managing business even easier. Thanks to this, 12 of the franchise’s depots achieved year-on-year growth of more than 30 percent in the first quarter of 2019.
The results were announced at parent company Franchise Brands’ annual conference last month. Metro Rod’s sister companies have seen success too, as franchisee recruitment has improved for ChipsAway, Ovenclean and Barking Mad and the three brands have had a good first quarter.
Stephen Hemsley, Executive Chairman of Franchise Brands, commented on Metro Rod’s fantastic start to the year:
“Metro Rod’s forward momentum in Q1 has continued apace, with our franchise network growing their system sales by 12.9 percent, resulting in a record quarter. [Franchise Brands] is trading well, and the board looks forward to the remainder of the year with confidence.”
With more than 41 specialist depots across the UK, Metro Rod provides expert drainage services to customers all over the country.
