Metro Rod hosts third annual local awards

Metro Rod Cambridge is gearing up to host the third annual Ely Hero Awards, which celebrate amazing people in the local community.

A local community award organised by Metro Rod’s Cambridge location will be holding its third annual ceremony this week. The Ely Hero Awards were set up to recognise truly inspiring individuals in the community and have proven very popular amongst locals. Nominees from 10 categories will be recognised for their contributions to their local area, with winners chosen from each.

The fun evening will allow nominees, their loved ones and key people from the community to celebrate. There will be music from vocalist Kathryn Buck and band Elma, as well as tasty food from the Habis Restaurant in nearby Littleport.

Kevin Russell, from drainage franchise Metro Rod Cambridge, expressed the franchise’s excitement for the annual event.
