Merry Maids’ North Star Awards celebrates the brightest and best franchisees across the country.
Merry Maids’ has been recognising the leading lights in its business that have made the cleaning franchise successful over the last year. At its annual Summer Regional Ceremony in June, Merry Maids announced the winners of its North Star Awards.
They were set up to reward franchisees and staff who have been exceptional in some way throughout the last business year. By announcing all shortlisted staff who have given their all to their work, the cleaning franchise also aims to say thank you for their hard work.
There were lots of winners within the five categories. Scooping the growth award (which celebrates the top growing franchises compared to the previous year) were an incredible 11 franchises, including Teeside, South Yorkshire, Ilkley & Skipton, Sutton Coldfield and Southampton West.
The Customer Award, which is judged on the amount and quality of customer reviews a franchise receives, went to Merry Maids Inverness. Next up was Employee of the Year, which recognises the hardest working staff across Merry Maids’ 100 UK location. The battle was so tough at the top that 3 employees were mentioned, with Anne Macdermid (Inverness) and Mandy Edwards (Sutton Coldfield) being highly commended and Jane Lord (Blackpool & Preston) taking the crown.
Rookie of the Year Award was claimed by fledgling franchise Kingston-Upon-Thames, before it was time for the big one. After much anticipation, Merry Maids of Croydon was named as the year’s top franchise, with owner Debbie Walker securing herself a place at the Merry Maids International Convention in the US to help her continue to improve her business.
After arriving in the UK in 1990, Merry Maids has expanded its domestic cleaning service across the country to bring professional, quality and trusted service to the nation.
