Mathnasium has welcomed Louise Harris into the business as its new Franchise Operations Manager.
The tutoring franchise has described Louise as a “one-woman whirlwind” with “priceless expertise”. John Preston, Mathnasium’s UK Director, is looking forward to leveraging Louise’s skills and experience to help develop the franchise across the UK and enhance its franchisee support.
Louise has previously been a board member of the British Franchise Association, but in her new post she’ll support franchisees as they develop marketing strategies to increase their customer numbers. She’s also looking forward to helping franchisees improve their customer satisfaction scores.
She explained,
“I’ll be developing training opportunities to ensure franchisees’ centres are delivering to Mathnasium’s internationally-proven standards. My main priority is to help them find the right direction to grow in. I’ve worked with business owners for a long time and know what it’s like because I’ve been one myself.”
Louise was headhunted by Mathnasium, and was impressed when she found out more about the brand. She said,
“It’s education franchising done well, it’s fantastic and it’s making the best use of the skills I have. I really admire what John Preston has done. He bought Mathnasium, only for us to have a lockdown 20 days later, so he had to introduce the @Home online version very quickly.”
Louise was also struck by the quality of the educational and management resources available to franchisees. Mathnasium’s UK Education Manager, Zoe, helped Louise build up her confidence so she could start teaching in just two weeks.
Previously, Louise has demonstrated her abilities by developing a bespoke CRM system for Wilkins Chimney Sweep and helping it develop its franchise model. She explained,
“I fell in love with franchising. I’m a processes person and I enjoy making businesses more successful.”
