Mail Boxes Etc franchisee Damien Turbé has been reflecting on his franchising journey that started 18 months ago.

A Mail Boxes Etc. franchisee has been looking back on the first 18 months of his franchising journey and says that the decision to open his own branch of the courier and delivery franchise was a truly incredible one.

Damien Turbé opened his centre in Chambéry, France, a year and a half ago with business partner Soileha Abdou. He was looking for a new challenge after spending more than a decade working as a designer and project manager for public libraries and after stumbling across the opportunity provided by Mail Boxes Etc., he knew that it was the perfect next step for his career.

Despite not having a background in transport and logistics, Turbé was able to quickly get to grips with the franchise’s concept, thanks to extensive training and his willingness to learn and put in plenty of hard work. He explained that he thinks the franchise would suit anyone from any background and revealed what makes his business so interesting for him and partner Abdou.

“Firstly for me globalisation is not over, we are still looking to shorten supply chains, and with Mail Boxes Etc. we are right in it. Secondly, we do not always do the same thing and on a daily basis it's very interesting."

Turbé’s passion for finding the right solution for each client has made him an exemplary franchisee for Mail Boxes Etc. and despite his initial success, his dedication to making his business as brilliant as possible hasn’t wavered.

“We always try to do better, even when it went well,” concludes Turbé.

With more than 1,600 branches across the globe, Mail Boxes Etc. is one of the world’s largest non-food retail franchises.
