Leisure Leagues reassures fans that it will be up and running after the COVID-19 crisis.
With the prime minister announcing new measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus, Leisure Leagues, along with many other major businesses, will temporarily suspend all activities. It announced that its football and netball leagues will not run until at least the 14thof April and if you want individual information regarding your league, head to your league page.
According to a spokesman: “Whilst we had hoped to keep running where it was possible, given the emphasis that even last night, Mr. Johnson placed on physical fitness, that is not possible anymore. Clearly, the best thing for the country as a whole at this stage is that we don’t run for at least three weeks.”
But Leisure Leagues is already planning how it will bounce back as soon as it a safe to do so:
“Our promise is a simple one,” he said. “When all this is over – and it will be over – we will be back, exactly the same as before, providing crucial community focus and fitness all over the world.”
Leisure Leagues fans can start looking forward to when the football franchise is back in action.
He continued: “After this lockdown is lifted, sport will be even more vital than it had been before. Physical and mental health will be affected in the most unprecedented way by all this, and it is up to companies like Leisure Leagues to help and be at the forefront of the nation’s recovery, and truly bring the nation back together.”
