Las Iguanas brings Latin America home

Las Iguanas has launched a range of ready meals to let fans of the restaurant experience its food at home.

Las Iguanas is the latest brand to announce that its restaurants are no longer the only place that customers can get their hands on its delicious food. It’s teamed up with British supermarket giant Sainsbury’s to offer its customers a taste of Latin America that they can enjoy from the comfort of their sofa.

A survey by the supermarket found that more than half of British people asked are “curious to try Latin American food”, making the partnership with the restaurant franchise a fantastic idea. Dishes on offer will be based on flavours from across South America, from countries including Peru, Brazil and Mexico. With something in the range catering for most tastes, meat eaters will be able to try Creamy Lime & Peanut Flavour Chicken Xinxim or Chunky Beef and Black Bean Chilli, and veggies will be treated to Corn Quinotto or Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash Enchiladas. There’s Butternut Squash Moqueca for vegans too.

And, with prices ranging between £3.50 to £4, shoppers will be able to pick up the same quality of food provided in each of Las Iguanas restaurants for a much lower price.

Buyer for Sainsbury’s, James Lyndall, explained why he feels the newly announced partnership with the exciting restaurant franchise is fantastic news for its shoppers.

“We jumped at the chance to partner with leading restaurant Las Iguanas to launch our delicious new range of ready meals. We’re proud to say that these meals aren’t available at any other supermarket in the UK.”

Since 1991, Las Iguanas has been treating the UK to a fresh, authentic taste of South American cuisine. With more than 55 sites spanning the country, there are plenty of places for customers to pop in and try one of its tasty dishes or tempting cocktails.
