Kare Plus shares Alex’s breast cancer story

The home care franchise shared this personal and heartwarming account via its website recently, in a bid to raise breast cancer awareness and as a proud supporter of the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
In the words of Kare Plus, “Whether you have been directly affected through a breast cancer diagnosis or someone close to you has, your stories describe the individual experiences of people living with breast cancer. Submitted by women and men both young and old, they are often difficult to read and don’t always have a positive outcome. But they do have something in common. A desire to share their personal experience of living with breast cancer in the hope that others may learn from them or draw strength, knowing that they are not alone.”
Alex’s story is one of many shared with the home care franchise, and is as follows: “The first time my nan was diagnosed with breast cancer was before I was born. Later on, as a young teenager, I was made aware of the difficult time this was for the whole family. Years later, there was another scare. This time around, with me being much older, I knew I wanted to play my part. This is when I started to research into charities and decided that I can help by donating to fund further research into cancer. Since the age of 14, I have donated £3 per month to Cancer Research UK to help fund further research to find a cure, and I will continue to do so."
If you’d like to join a network of carers that’s committed to doing good, raising awareness and providing quality care to patients, you can become a Kare Plus franchisee for a minimum initial investment of £40,000, with a total investment cost of £75,000.
