Chris Rocker, the man behind the UK’s fastest-growing independent retail shutter company and franchise, has shared the story of how he built his thriving business.

After spending six years in the Royal Air Force and more than 25 years in the world of sales and operations, Chris entered 2006 looking for a new challenge. He loved the style of plantation shutters and wanted to start a specialist business to meet growing levels of demand for this kind of window covering.

After a number of successful years, Chris looked into ways to expand the business. Franchising seemed like the best way to do so and Just Shutters created a comprehensive franchise package that would allow other entrepreneurs to expand the brand.

“We tackled the Covid-19 crisis in a professional and 'can-do' manner and while the business couldn't actively trade, we introduced a Home Measuring Kit to keep the sales coming in. During this time, many of our franchisees chose to support their local communities by providing a shop-and-drop service to the elderly or vulnerable. I'm exceptionally proud of all their efforts.”
