Jackson Fire & Security franchisees tell their stories

Jackson Fire & Security franchisees have revealed how they came to be the owners of profitable businesses in a series of video testimonials.
Kris Milner, who runs the security franchise’s Leeds branch, and Lee Fowler, owner of the Wirral unit, gave their take on the business’s investment model.
Lee has worked at Jackson Fire & Security for the last 10 years, starting out as an engineer before moving into a more senior role as a project manager/surveyor. When the business became a franchise, Lee expressed an interest and invested.
Now, he’s the owner of a flexible business he can manage remotely. He said,
“We actually run the franchise from home with a small storage area at the front of the premises.”
Within 12 months, he was able to pay back the money he’d borrowed for the investment and start turning a profit.
Kris in Leeds was grateful to be able to visit the franchise before investing:
“I got to meet the managing director, I also got to meet engineers, and I went out with one of the engineers to see what they do on a day-to-day basis. That was really important.”
Since joining the business, Lee has supported his employee, turning a senior trainee into a fully qualified engineer. He added,
“A typical day is getting up, put the kettle on, check the diary, check your emails for any emergency work, make sure the engineer has sufficient stock and the jobs are booked in for him.”
In his testimonial, Kris spoke about how the franchise has changed his life:
“When I took on the franchise, I also moved house and we made home improvements, so life has been pretty different since I took the franchise on - but for the better.”
“I was never really a hands-on type of person, I’ve always been more of a managerial type of person - or so I thought - but Jackson Fire has allowed me to develop both sides.”
