Jackson Fire & Security has earned itself a prestigious Silver ERS Award for its commitment to helping the Armed Forces community.
The security franchise was recognised by the Ministry of Defence as one of the UK’s employers who make efforts to support people who are currently, or who have previously, served to defend the country.
In order to earn this recognition, companies must have put practical policies in place across their business. Other factors include making sure no members of the Armed Forces are unfairly disadvantaged during recruitment processes and that the whole company is aware of any positive initiatives aimed at military people.
Speaking about the incredible achievement, Steve Jackson, Managing Director, said:
"We are delighted to have been recognised for our commitment to the Armed Forces with the Silver Employment Recognition Scheme. Having signed the Armed Forces Covenant in June 2019, we were keen to follow this up by demonstrating our hands on support to veterans, reservists and cadets."
He explained that the Jackson Fire & Security franchise opportunity is ideal for ex-military personnel, and that the franchise is always on the lookout for new franchisees from every kind of background.
"We are always looking for ways to involve the Armed Forces in our recruitment and training and we have had great success with veterans coming on board, learning new skills and progressing in our industry. We are pleased to demonstrate this with our award which will hopefully attract more Armed Forces personnel to apply for roles within our organisation, but also encourage other businesses to show their commitment to the Armed Forces."
