IWG has bagged itself a shiny, new distribution centre just outside London to accommodate its growing support network.
IWG has announced that it’s signed a deal which will see it move into the vast Prologis Park warehouses in Hemel Hempstead. The new premises will become the main distribution centre for the co-working space giant and will offer the growing franchise lots more space to store its office furniture and other essential items.
The ultra-modern base, which will span two units, will also serve as an operational centre for many of the B2B franchise’s back office support team, so that it can properly support its network of UK franchisees with all of their day to day concerns.
Stephen Holloway, head of network development for IWG in the UK, said:
**"This is a real milestone for IWG and we’re thrilled to be setting down roots in Hemel Hempstead with this new warehouse facility. Hemel Hempstead is already home to a thriving local economy and as our business continues to expand as we respond to the growing need for flexible working across the UK, Prologis Park is set to be the perfect place for us to run our warehouse operations from.”**
Paul Hanley, from Prologis Park, also commented:
**"Prologis Park Hemel Hempstead is a shining example of a development that works for both businesses and the local community. The speed at which the units were leased shows that there is real appetite for well-connected, sustainable and community-focused logistics property in the South East. The location will suit IWG perfectly, providing an excellent national distribution hub for the business."**
