A Heavenly Desserts branch has launched a competition to find people doing good deeds in the local community.
The food and beverage franchise unit, based on Deansgate Road in Manchester, has announced the scheme to its customers. It’s encouraging everyone to nominate anyone who they feel deserves a free dessert. The aim of the competition is to thank local heroes and celebrate the people who are working hard and putting their own lives at risk at a time of international emergency.
The Heavenly Desserts restaurant is, of course, closed at the moment, under government guidelines. But it is still managing to get its delicious creations out to those with a sweet tooth by offering a delivery service through Deliveroo. Now, hungry customers can enjoy their favourite sugary desserts from their very own sofa.
Once the competition has closed, the team at the Heavenly Desserts location will judge the entries and pick their winner. The lucky candidate will then be treated to a mouth-watering free dessert as soon as the restaurant opens for business again.
The exciting scheme was announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page, where the team urged its followers to put forward those who have been making a difference in their local area. It read:
"During difficult times, communities come together. Nominate your local hero and tell us why they deserve a free dessert at Heavenly Desserts. Comment below and we'll choose a winner on Thursday 30th April for a free dessert when we re-open to dine in."
There are only a few days left to get your entry in, so if you live in the Manchester area and know a local hero, you’ll need to act fast! Head to Heavenly Desserts Deansgate’s Facebook page to find out more and put forward your nominee.
