Heavenly Desserts is looking to take the dessert sector by delicious storm with its new locations internationally. While currently based in Canada and the UK, it’s busy expanding to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and America. To make sure all franchisees receive the proper training and support during this growth, the company has appointed Mimi Elias as the Head: Learning and Development.
Mimi brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from her past work in the dessert and catering industries. She had an official role in The Ivy Collection and Ivy Asia, being the learning and development manager. She’s also worked for several well-known restaurant brands, such as Gaucho, Jackson and Rye, and The Royal Academy of Arts in London.
Mimi had the opportunity to express her happiness with the new role in Heavenly Desserts:
“I’m over the moon to have been appointed as the first dedicated learning and development senior team member at Heavenly Desserts. Our senior team here is comprised of highly accomplished hospitality talent who holds a fresh, progressive and collaborative approach to becoming the best dessert franchise, and it is refreshing to see such alignment in terms of a shared vision for the brand.
“Both the brand and the role offer so much opportunity to carve a new path, something that I find really inspiring. The future of the industry lies in providing our people with the necessary tools to take charge of their own learning, and I will implement processes and training schemes that champion this method.”
Being the first time that Heavenly Desserts created this role in the company, Mimi will be intensely focused on developing training programs and supporting new franchisees as much as possible. So, if you’re keen on starting a new franchise in the dessert sector, now’s the best time to begin your journey!
