Healthy Feet offers essential foot care service

Healthy Feet has outlined how its vital service is helping to meet the rapidly increasing demand for quality foot care across the UK.
The beauty franchise shared some shocking figures that show just how large the market is for foot care providers. According to the College of Podiatry (COP), 3.7 million people in the UK have diabetes and this figure is predicted to rise to 5 million by 2025. And considering that diabetes can seriously affect the lower limbs and feet if not properly treated, around 1.2 million people need regular foot care or podiatry appointments to avoid complications like ulcers and amputations.
Healthy Feet also shared a worrying figure from COP, which revealed the NHS spends £1 billion per year treating complications with diabetics’ feet and amputates around 6,000 legs, feet or toes every year. With proper care, it’s estimated 80% of these diabetic amputations could be avoided.
What’s more, the NHS only provides around 5% of all foot care treatments, meaning many people, diabetic or not, are looking for an affordable and reliable foot care service.
Co-founder Sophie Limming outlined why she believes Healthy Feet’s franchise opportunity offers the potential for a financially and personally rewarding career.
“The foot care we provide is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Fewer people are applying to universities to become podiatrists and therefore there is a huge opportunity for people who would like to work in foot health and create a rewarding career.”
Sophie also explained how all of Healthy Feet’s franchisees are fully supported throughout their journey.
“Here at Healthy Feet Franchises, we arm you with everything you need to create a successful business. You will be in business yourself but not by yourself, as we have a team of knowledgeable and experienced franchisors and franchisees to help and guide you every step of the way.
