Harry Ramsden has announced that it’s trialling a partnership with one of the UK’s largest bingo chains.
Harry Ramsden has announced that it’s testing out a potentially exciting partnership that will see bingo fans able to order its delicious meals straight to their tables. The trial with Mecca Bingo, one of the UK’s largest bingo club chains, means that the fish and chips franchise will serve its irresistible range of British classics to customers in three of Mecca’s locations. Meals including classic fish and chips, juicy scampi and rich pies, and if the trial goes well, the franchise hopes to offer its dishes in more bingo club locations across the country.
Malcolm Heslop, Business Development Manager for Harry Ramsden’s parent brand, Boparan Restaurant Group, expressed the franchise’s excitement at the trial partnership.
“We’re always looking for new ways to expand and share our menu with foodies across the UK. Partnering with Mecca is a great way to do this and we’re pleased to be bringing a selection of our tasty menu treats to customers in Chester!”
Staff from Harry Ramsden will work closely with the chefs at each bingo club to ensure customers can enjoy the franchise’s high-quality dishes that are prepared in just the right way. The trial at the Mecca Chester location is set to run until early June and it’s hoped that the partnership will be rolled out across the country later this year.
Harry Ramsden was founded more than 90 years ago and has come on leaps and bounds since its humble beginnings in a rail side shack. With more than 40 locations spanning the UK, it’s grown into the country’s leading fish and chips franchise and serves up plates of the British classic to customers across the UK every day.
