Harry Ramsden has teamed up with Mecca Bingo to offer its classic British fish and chips to hungry bingo goers.
An evening at the bingo just got better with the announcement that fish and chip franchise Harry Ramsden has teamed up with Mecca Bingo.
To celebrate National Fish and Chip Day, which was celebrated on 7th June, Mecca announced that it’s rolling out the partnership with classic British brand Harry Ramsden. Earlier this year, three clubs took part in a trial to see how the delicious chip-based menu would fare with the bingo club’s customers. Naturally, it was a roaring success and now 14 clubs across the country will be serving Harry Ramsden’s tasty meals.
Business Development Manager, Malcolm Heslop, expressed the franchise’s delight at the successful partnership.
“We’re always looking for new ways to expand and share our menu with foodies across the UK. Partnering with Mecca is a great way to do this and we’re pleased to be bringing a selection of our dishes to customers [across the country]."
Dishes on offer include crispy fish fillets, crunchy cod bites, freshly battered scampi and deep-filled pies alongside Harry Ramsden’s signature chunky chips. And the best part? Customers won’t even need to move from their tables to get their serving of delicious food, as the clubs will offer table service. All bingo-players will need to do is log into the Mecca Wi-Fi and they’ll be greeted with the full menu, with no queues in sight.
National Food & Beverage Manager for Mecca, Cath Hannam, added:
“It’s incredibly exciting to bring two iconic British brands together, merging traditions and giving our customers the opportunity to enjoy world class fish and chips whilst they play. We know our customers will love the partnership as much as we do.”
