Entrepreneurs Circle was forced to make its annual awards ceremony a virtual affair this year.
The National Entrepreneurs Awards, which are now in their seventh year, had been postponed since March, but were hosted online last month. Digital Group Media (DGM) was one of the companies to scoop an award, beating over 70 entrants in the Best Business Enabler category for its dedication to supporting other organisations. Entrepreneurs Circle considered 411 different entries across eight award categories, before picking its winners.
The business coaching franchise, which is based in the NEC Business Park, has thousands of members in the UK, and more internationally. The company is headed by founder Nigel Botterill, who has built nine separate businesses worth more than £1 million each.
Nigel explained why he thinks it’s important to acknowledge the successes of local businesses:
“Entrepreneurs are always focused on what is coming next, they are typically very bad at recognising what they’ve achieved and how far they have come. As a result, the great work that they do often goes unnoticed.
“So, we wanted to shine the spotlight on the amazing things that so many entrepreneurs have achieved in building their businesses and where they are putting something back into their local communities and the national economy.”
Congratulating DGM on their win, Nigel added:
“The DGM team won the award for businesses that support other businesses, actively helping them to grow. This is really important to remember, especially in light of the incredible challenges of this year. The great thing is, DGM have helped others whilst also being able to grow as business owners themselves, so we really do salute them.”
Well done to all the winners at the National Entrepreneurs Awards!
