Emma Capon first changed her career direction when the pandemic hit, returning from Dubai to pursue a new profession with Radfield.
Emma worked for Emirates for six years before COVID-19, then returning and retraining as a care professional with Radfield Home Care Stamford, Peterborough and Rutland. In Emma’s words, “People had always mentioned in the past that I’d do well with caring. I’ve got a lot of empathy and I’ve always enjoyed going the extra mile for people. Once I looked into it, I realised it was something I could really see myself going into. But I didn’t want to go and work for any care sector company just to get money. I wanted to work for the right company where they treat you as a family, look after you and look after their clients.”
Thus, Emma found Radfield Home Care. The home care franchise is dedicated to its franchisees, employees and clients, and has been since day one. Of Emma joining the franchise family, Radfield Home Care explained, “As soon as Emma met with Radfield, she knew it was the right fit. She’s now fully trained, has achieved her care certificate accreditation and has been providing domiciliary care to Radfield’s clients throughout Stamford and Peterborough for six months. Although caring during a pandemic isn’t always easy, Emma’s previous experience has helped her to make a success of it.”
In both of Emma’s careers, she’s been able to let her caring, reliable and professional nature shine - a great example of how transferable and important soft skills can be. If you feel you have the necessary transferable abilities, you could thrive with Radfield Home Care without any previous experience in the caregiving industry.
