Five Guys Voted Best Burger In The UK

This year Five Guys has swept away with the UK’s Best Burger award. And it’s not the first time. This is Five Guys second consecutive winning year. Up against the likes of Nando’s, McDonald’s, KFC and Burger King, the revered American food chain, Five Guys won the accolade in a landslide victory. Market Force Information tallied the vote of 3,314 British consumers and Five Guys triumphed with the highest guest satisfaction ratings in a massive four out of eight categories that included 58% for Food Quality, 46% for Speed of Service, 56% for Overall Cleanliness and 53% for Staff Friendliness. Market Force Information’s chief strategy officer, Cheryl Fink said: “The Quick Service category continues to evolve, with new chains launching from British brands and overseas.

“Results from this year’s research demonstrates that UK consumers really appreciate a tasty, high quality burger coupled with excellent service."

Five Guys chief executive officer to the UK, John Eckbert, said: “We’re thrilled that Five Guys has ranked so highly across all of the categories and the British love affair with our burgers and fries has remained year-on-year.”

“Five Guys was built on a couple of very simple principals: cook perfect burgers and fries, keep our restaurants unbelievably clean and take care of customers who come into our restaurants.

"When we launched back in 2013, we were the favourite American burger in the US, and we are now the UK’s favourite American burger!” Five Guys is a family controlled firm, launched by husband and wife team Jerry and Janie Murell and their five sons in 1986. Their dream was to create a ‘better burger’ market made of 120-day grain-finished beef from family-owned farms, cooked-to-order brioche buns and triple cooked chips.
