Esquires Coffee has seen three of its outlets make the Retail Excellence Ireland top 100.
Esquires Coffee has been celebrating positive recognition for three of its Irish stores, as they were selected by Retail Excellence Ireland to feature on its top 100 stores list for 2018.
The café franchise, which has more than 14 stores in the republic of Ireland, saw its Navan, Dublin O’Connell Street and Drogheda branches pick up near perfect scores during the judging process. Mystery ‘shoppers’ (or coffee lovers in this case) were sent to each branch to carry out a secret assessment of the location, basing their scores on the quality of the customer service, among other aspects.
Esquires Coffee’s Navan store received an incredible 99% from its mystery visitor, indicating the branch is practically perfect in the way it serves its ethically sourced coffee. O’Connell Street and Drogheda weren’t far behind, with both picking up an impressive 98% rating for the quality of their staff and service.
From over 500 entries, Retail Excellence Ireland managed to narrow it down to the best 100 in the country, with Esquires Coffee the only company in the country to have three stores on the prestigious list. Tony McVerry, head of Esquires Coffee’s Irish operation, expressed his joy at the fantastic result.
“I would like to congratulate the franchise owners, management and staff in our Navan, 28-32 O’Connell Street, Dublin and Drogheda stores who can be very proud of their achievement. To achieve Top 100 status, a score of at least 90% would have been required, so for us to have achieved one 99% score and two 98% scores is a magnificent result.”
The next round of judging will now begin, which will see all three successful branches competing for a spot on the top 30 list and a shot at the crown.
