Esquire Coffee, the leading ethical coffee franchise opens its first UK test kitchen in Putney.
The ethical coffee franchise wildly known for its excellent coffee and sustainable business practices is to open its first UK test kitchen in Putney. The new site will equally serve as Esquire Coffee’s newest coffee shop and headquarters. The company’s deal includes two combined units that will house the new café bistro and test kitchen, with plans to install a coffee roaster site in a very near future. Esquire Coffee, the leading ethical coffee franchise also famous for not exploiting people or harming the planet in the name of profit, has big plans for the future and this move is part of its goal to secure150 shops in the UK by 2020.
Esquires Coffee founder and UK managing director, Doug Williamson, said: “We’re entering a new phase for Esquires Coffee, pushing ever further ahead of the ubiquitous brands to deliver a stylised, localised and community focused experience.”
Esquire Coffee started out with a little shop in Delta, British Colombia, Canada back in 1993. By year 2002, it crossed over to the UK and now has over 30 stores across the UK and Ireland. In the last six months alone, Esquire Coffee opened new stores in Hanley, Bournemouth, Liverpool and Yate, with plans underway to launch shops in Manchester, Tunbridge Well, Canterbury and Oxford.
According to the British Franchise Association, Esquire Coffee’s plans to expand to 150 units by 2021 is right on track with regional developers working away to secure dozens of additional locations.
