Envirovent took part in a fun charity day that raised money for a fantastic cause and encouraged some healthy competition.
Envirovent was one of the participants in a fun local charity day that raised money for Macmillan Cancer support. The charity event was held at the Shifnal Golf Club in Shropshire on the 4th of June and saw more than 80 golfers from 20 businesses, including air conditioning franchise Envirovent, compete across 18 holes.
The corporate golf day was organised by Wrekin Housing group and was attended by businesses across the construction and trades industries. Following the fun round of golf, all of the participants were treated to a delicious evening meal, where prizes were handed out to the best of the day. Envirovent took home one of the team trophies for its performance, although its players sadly missed out on an individual trophy.
The event was not only an enjoyable day, but a great fundraising experience as it managed to raise more than £3,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Organiser Jason Scott, Building Facilities Manager at Wrekin Housing Group, commented on the brilliant event.
“I am very grateful to everyone who attended and helped raise such a fantastic amount for Macmillan Cancer Support. Investing in, and supporting local communities is a key part of what the Group stands for, and this includes contributing to organisations and good causes, like Macmillan Cancer Support, which make a positive impact on the lives of so many people. Sadly, many of us will know people who have been impacted by cancer, but raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support means more emotional, physical and financial support being provided to people living with cancer.”
Envirovent was founded in 1997 by Frank Farmer to offer a specialist condensation control unit service to people across the UK. Now, it has diversified to offer a wide range of air conditioning and vent services.
