Energie Fitness sign lease on new corporate headquarters in Milton Keynes and prepare to make the move.
Fitness club company Energie Fitness is set to open a new corporate headquarters in Milton Keynes. It has signed a lease for 12,000 sq ft and the new office design is said to be inspired by the innovative businesses of Silicon Valley.
The new office will feature a full-scale 5,000sq ft on-site gym, which employees will be able to use for free and can be shown to prospective franchisees. There will be a large training room for new franchisees, as well as quirky features such as a running track connecting reception to the offices and plenty of space for employees to work in the communal offices. It’s hoped the design will encourage collaboration, a key value of Energie, and help to improve employee wellness, productivity and help the company continue to meet the needs of its franchisees. The company has invested around £1.5m to refurbish the space in the Icon building.
Group chief executive and chairman of Energie Fitness, Jan Spaticchia, said that the company were pleased to be returning to Milton Keynes.
"Energie Fitness was founded in Milton Keynes and has been part of the town’s community for more than 15 years. We are therefore delighted to make this long-term investment in a head office and International Training Facility alongside a brand new Energie Fitness Club."
He added that the new site would help Energie to work with new and potential franchisees in a more hands-on way.
“In terms of the training, having the franchise on-site is essential. It’s immediate – you can go and actually touch and feel and go in a working Energie facility.”
With almost 100 clubs across the UK, Energie Fitness takes a new approach to fitness. Its clubs are made to feel small and welcoming, aiming to make the first step towards fitness less intimidating for new users and provide a relaxed atmosphere to exercise in.
