Energie Fitness Leighton Buzzard will be hosting the inaugural ‘Energie Fitness Yard Games’ in just under a month’s time.
Gym franchise Energie Fitness’s Leighton Buzzard site will be hosting a fun ‘Festival of Fitness’ in early August and is inviting locals along to participate.
The inaugural ‘Energie Fitness Yard Games’ will be hosted at a local recreation grounds on the 3rd of August and will see competitors battle it out in fun Beat the Clock challenges. 33 teams of threes will take part in the challenges, with the winners taking home £500 for the charity of their choice.
Darren Rossiter, manager of the Leighton Buzzard location of Energie Fitness, commented on the exciting event.
“We are the first to trial this type of games and we are looking for people to either sign up for the competition or come down on the day and enjoy the fun! The games are about uniting fitness and our local community, we want to combine sport with functional fitness in local communities. We will have the Town Mayor open the inaugural event and we have already got estate agents from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue, Bedfordshire Police and the local football, rugby, cricket and hockey clubs interested in taking part.”
He added that the festival day has been planned so that there’s something to appeal to everyone.
“There will be something for everyone, the key word is ‘festival’, we will have food, drink, stalls for health and wellbeing, inflatable play areas, face painting. At the moment the event is half full, spaces are still available but we do anticipate that it will sell out. We hope to put on a truly memorable day and one that we believe will put Leighton-Linslade Town on the map.”
Energie Fitness has more than 20 sites across Ireland and over 100 in the UK.
