Eddie Rocket’s, which also operates in its smaller locations as Rocket’s, has been crowned the best burger in Ireland.
In a nationwide poll that was voted in by almost 17,000 Irish burger lovers, Eddie Rocket’s has emerged victorious with the title of the tastiest burger in the country. Ireland’s leading burger franchise beat more than 500 food outlets, including pricier, gourmet burger restaurants to claim the top spot with its delicious yet affordable burgers.
The poll was held in honour of national burger day and sought to find the best burger in an industry that’s competitive and full of choice. The two Rocket Restaurant outlets, Eddie Rocket’s and Rocket’s, were deserving winners of the prize, as the franchise has been perfecting its mouth-watering food since 1989.
Niall Fortune, the founder of Eddie Rocket’s, explained why the franchise wasn’t surprised to claim poll position. “It’s no surprise to us that we have the best hamburgers in a national chain. After all, we use only the best Irish beef and ingredients plus the attention to detail of our chefs. We serve more than six million customers a year so we have a lot of satisfied people who vote with their taste buds every day.”
With over 42 restaurants in the Republic and Northern Ireland, Rocket Restaurants employs almost 1,000 people in its large, American diner-style Eddie Rocket’s outlets, or its smaller Rocket’s, which are perfect for franchisees looking to open a drive-thru or airport outlet. With its delicious menu of classic burgers, thick milkshakes and famous crispy onion rings, Rocket Restaurants brings a taste of the states to everyone.
This isn’t the first time Eddie Rocket’s has been celebrated for its business model, as it claimed the prize at the 2017 Irish Franchise Association awards for Franchise of the Year. It’s also one of Ireland’s Top 100 food companies, thanks to its impressive turnover and enormous number of employees.
