Dunkin’ Donuts is offering free treats
To celebrate National Donut Day, Dunkin’ Donuts is marking the occasion by giving out free treats.
National Donut Day, which is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of every month, was originally established by the Chicago Salvation Army in 1938 in recognition of the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War 1. Dunkin’ Donuts is carrying on the celebrations by offering a free doughnut to customers on Friday 1st June.
All customers need to do is purchase a beverage from one of the many Dunkin’ Donuts premises and they will be eligible to receive a free classic doughnut. Up for grabs are firm favourites such as Boston Kreme, Glazed, Glazed Chocolate and Strawberry with Sprinkles.
In addition to the National Donut Day celebrations, Dunkin’ Donuts is also welcoming summer by releasing two new doughnut varieties. Firstly, the Vanilla Cake Batter Donut features a vanilla-flavoured cake batter filling, frosted with white icing and topped with confetti sprinkles. It is due for release on Monday 28 May along with the Chocolate Cake Batter Donut that’s filled with chocolate buttercream filling. Hungry customers of selected Dunkin’ Donuts stores can also tuck into the new Sweet Summertime Donut that features a sunshine design with blue icing and yellow icing drizzle.
Dunkin’ Donuts is America’s number one doughnut retailer with more than 12,500 restaurants in 46 countries around the globe. Established in 1950, Dunkin’ Donuts has been serving customers doughnuts, bagels, other baked goods and a variety of hot and iced beverages for more than 68 years. It’s part of the wider Dunkin’ Brands Group that also includes Baskin-Robbins and Culinary Dream Team.
