Driving Miss Daisy is keeping the local community moving in Didcot as it celebrates its new premises.

Driving Miss Daisy’s Didcot duo have revealed their shiny new shopfront, where they’ll run their community-minded operations from. Husband-and-wife team Zororo Mubaya and Terence Kavuru launched their location of Driving Miss Daisy in December 2019, after deciding to take the plunge and move into the world of franchising.

Its services range from helping with shopping trips, offering transport across the local area, supporting at family events or even just offering company to isolated people in the local community. And while the current Covid-19 pandemic may have reduced the services it can offer, the team assured all new and prospective customers that their vehicles are being meticulously cleaned between every trip.

Zororo said that her and husband Terence were thrilled to be bringing the care franchise’s vital services to their local area.

“With our experience we wanted to take our transferable skills and experiences with working with supported living and social care clients who have a need for the transport and companionship that Driving Miss Daisy can offer. Driving Miss Daisy is often described as ‘family when family can’t be there’. We are really enjoying doing this so far – every day has been different, and we have the pleasure of helping and chatting to people from all walks of life.”

Driving Miss Daisy is still offering its vital service to the vulnerable locals of Didcot, making sure they’re able to attend important medical appointments and get groceries, if nobody is around to help with delivery. The vehicles of this taxi franchise are fully wheelchair accessible and both Terence and Zororo are trained in first-aid to give all of their customers a peace of mind.
